Prototype progress report

Several updates from this week’s work, courtesy the North Coast Modular Collective Instagram account (the best place to follow our work in near-realtime).

In the design lab this week: Simplistic Sample Controller. A MIDI controller designed to control a popular sampler instrument in Ableton Live (but also any other software sampler with similar MIDI mapping capabilities). What's unique about this? It's in eurorack physical format and you can use 1/8" patch cables (with serial data streaming over them) to repatch the module like CV does for Euro modules. But this is CD (Control Data)… see? Also in the design lab this week: Ann Arbor Drums. Based on the drum app made for Trigger Chameleon (https://youtu.be/3YYYoDQTkj4) the concept here is complex drum sounds with simple, abstract knob controls. #sdiy #eurorack #modularsynth #teensy #drumsynth
